Study Schedule
Academic year: Each academic year starts on the 1st of September (at the Preparatory Faculty - on the 1st of October).
Semester: There are 2 semesters in the academic year: from September to January and from February to June.
Examinations and tests: The first semester exams are usually held in June. The number of tests and examinations to be taken during every academic year is strictly formulated by the head of the University. The student's performance on the test is designated as "passed" or "failed" and at the examinations as "excellent", "good", "satisfactory", and "unsatisfactory". The second semester exams are held in January.
Vacations: All students have their vacations twice a year: summer vacation - from the 3rd of July to the 31st of August and winter vacation - from the 15th of January to the 7th of February.
