Verification of an individual’s attendance and/or graduation from

the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (MSMU)

MSMU performs verification of education documents only of international graduates/former students who at the date of graduation/termination of studies at the MSMU were not citizens of the Russian Federation or the Soviet Union (USSR).

MSMU verifies an individual’s attendance and/or graduation from the MSMU on written requests of Russian and International organisations concerned (not individuals!).

Such a request should be accompanied by photocopies of relevant documents – diplomas, certificates, transcripts etc. If the person in case changed all or any of her/his names it should be verified by legal authorities.

We strongly advise our international graduates directly inform MSMU Dean’s Office for International Students regarding verification requests, especially sent by ECFMG, within 2-4 weeks after the date of sending. It will enable to follow up verification process amd to shorten time necessary for verification.

Verification requests sent by e-mail can be processed by the Dean’s Office for International Students (DIS) within 2 weeks.

Verification of documents issued to the graduates/former students that were at the time of issuing these documents citizens of the Russian Federation or the Soviet Union (USSR) is performed by the International Department of the Rector’s Office only and cannot be followed up by DIS.
