The chairs and laboratories are equipped with all necessary technical teaching aids which permit to instruct students at up-to-date level. Every chair has the lecture hall and classrooms for practical and laboratory lessons for each group. There are 9-10 students in each group, total students / lecturers ratio is 4:1.
Special medical and dental equipment and phantoms for practical training, telecommunication networks and intellectual computer systems provide new possibilities for tutors and students.
The fundamental library and pharmaceutical library provide modern pharmaceutical, medical and other textbooks. Internet and Medline are always available for students and tutors. In the process of their study, the students work independently under the teachers supervision. The faculty students participate actively in the work of the students scientific societies, scientific conferences, forums, exhibitions, and medical and pharmaceutical congresses. The students experimental investigations result in their diploma theses.
Although studies are most important in the students life, much attention is also paid to sports and entertainment. Foreign students can attend sections of swimming, tennis, volleyball, track and field athletics, etc. Much attention is also paid to aesthetic education of the students, student`s art festivals are held annually; the work of the student amateur theatre is rather interesting.
The MMA faculties have been featuring a high level of specialists training. They work successfully at different medical, dental and pharmaceutical institutions, head pharmacies, large pharmaceutical companies, and research institutes.
The Research Centre of the Medical Academy, made up of a central association and branches at the faculties, is a uniform research establishment combining all its divisions, in which research work in 32 scientific laboratories for the chairs of MMA faculties is carried out. The students of the department for training research and research-teaching personnel undergo training according to individual schedules under the supervision of leading scholars.
